flying it forward // JetBlue
cinematographer
JetBlue's Flying it Forward program awarded free flights to people working on humanitarian projects across the country. The flights helped individuals get to destinations they needed to travel to in service of their mission - whether it was to represent their cause at the UN or bring supplies to schools in Haiti. Once a flyer made it to their destination, the "golden ticket" was passed on to the next flyer for their journey, creating a continuous cycle of flying it forward.
Moni - Kingston, Jamaica
Moni, who was selected by the previous Flying It Forward flier who landed in Seattle, set off to Kingston, Jamaica to shine a light on the marginalized LGBT community there. She spent time with displaced youth who found themselves surviving on the streets after being kicked out of their homes because of their sexual orientation, and spoke with organizations providing resources for these young Jamaicans and their fight for equality.
