The US imports a significant amount of produce from Mexico. According to the Department of Agriculture, about 70% of our vegetables and 40% of our fruit make the long, complicated journey from farms in Mexico to grocery stores across the country. WestCoast Fresh is one of those produce suppliers, working with farmers to ensure their product is fresh from "farm to market" while maintaining fair trade principles; safe, clean and dignified conditions for workers; and sustainable farming practices in consideration of environmental impact.
